Merge Mentoring

West Michigan YFC is launching a Mentoring Program for Juvenile Justice Kids. The program will be called Merge Mentoring and will provide aftercare for students as they transition from The Kent County Juvenile Detention Center (KCJDC) back into the local community. We are very excited about the way this program is coming together as we join hands with the leadership at KCJDC and The Kent County Juvenile Probation Division to help the kids move forward in every area of their lives.
Every year approximately 1,500 young people will spend time inside KCJDC. We are seeking mature Christian adults who are willing to invest at least 2 hours every week in the life of one of these precious kids. For more information, please contact Dan Chapin, JJM Director at 616-889-6673 or by email at dchapin@gryfc.org. Merge Mentor Training is set for Saturday, March 3rd so don’t wait to call.
