MIke Walton

Mike leads Campus Life in Jenison. He did his undergrad work at Cornerstone University where he majored in English Literature and a Mass Communication minor. After three years spend in the business world serving as a trainer, Mike felt God's call to ministry and continued his education at Calvin Theological Seminary, where he received a Masters of Divinity.

Mike and his wife Laura and have been married for 7 years and have a one year old son named Tristan, who loves to be the center of attention wherever he goes.

Mike is a huge Chicago sports fan having grown up in the northern suburbs, and is patiently waiting for the day the Cubs will finally when the World Series. He has also embraced the fact that he is a pretty big nerd and loves to spend my time reading, playing board games and playing broomball. What is broomball? It's like hockey, only with shoes instead of skates. It's a blast!

Mike and his family currently attend and serve at Solomon's Porch in Jenison, MI.

Mike strongly believes that our youth is the future of the church. He believes that youth today are increasingly coming to a negative view of Christianity, and that the best way to share the gospel is to meet them where they are at in a relational dynamic. This is what is so exciting to him about YFC. We get to meet these kids at their schools and show them that Jesus and Christianity is more than a stereotype. How cool is that?
